At Welton Primary School, our art curriculum aims to inspire pupils and develop their confidence to experiment and invent their own works of art. We aim to give pupils every opportunity to develop their ability, nurture their talents and interests, express their ideas and thoughts about the world, as well as learning about art and artists across cultures and throughout history.

Our art and design scheme of work supports pupils to meet the National Curriculum end of Key Stage attainment targets, whilst giving them an understanding of how art can support positive wellbeing. We aim to give the children an appreciation of the subject through aspirational visitors, role models and events, for future creative careers.
