WHAG
Our WHAG (Welton Healthy Action Group) was created in 2006 when the school first achieved National Healthy Schools Status.
It is a group of representatives from across the school including headteacher, teachers, governors, parents, pupils and school meals supervisory assistants. Meeting once a term, the group discusses healthy schools issues and works together to make positive healthy changes for Welton. Recent projects have included the design of a Welton water bottle, provision of sunshades in the playgrounds, petitioning for a zebra crossing outside of school and healthy lunchbox weeks. If you are interested in becoming involved in WHAG please contact the school office or Mrs Stevens. New members are most welcome and meetings are parent friendly, taking place just before school ends at 2.45pm. We are happy for parents to bring along younger siblings. It would be great to have a few new members to assist us in our drive to obtain Healthy Schools Plus status.
