New Build
Have you seen a colourful building in Welton from the cycle path? It is coloured with red, blue, yellow and white rectangles. That’s our New Build!
We celebrated the opening of our New Build in February 2010, when Mrs Ann Mitchell, headteacher here from 2001 – 2007, cut the ribbon for officials to enter. All of our children participated in a celebration with songs, recitations about before and after the New Build and the cutting of a super cake with our school logo on it. We all enjoyed a piece of the cake!
The New Build provides a great base for us to hold group or class work during the school day, also drum and keyboard lessons. It becomes our “Captain’s Café” at lunchtimes where our older children take on the role of Café Kids to help wait at table.
After school our WACI (Welton After School Club Initiative) runs sessions for children to stay until 6.00pm daily in the New Build. They have a fun time with games and a snack.
Welton Pre-School run daily sessions for 2-5 year olds, also in our New Build. They have a super outside space for the children to enjoy. To enquire about a Pre-School place do give Miranda Greening a call on 01761 413505.
